The Spiked Fiends are the prowling nightmares of the Abyss, large and lean as wolves but clad in hideous bony spikes that jut from their backs like cruel thorns. They lack eyes, yet see far better than any mortal could imagine, sensing the life force of their prey with a twisted supernatural perception.

These beasts are not mere hunters—they are torturers, lurking in packs along the forsaken trails and shadowed woods of the Ninth Circle, where they chase down the damned souls and unfortunate wanderers who stray too far. Driven by a sadistic instinct, they revel in prolonging their victims' suffering, mauling them slowly and keeping them alive just to savor the pained cries.

These fiends embody the cruel humor of the Abyss, showing a perverse glee as they hurl their spikes at fleeing prey to cripple them, then descend with claws bared to drag out the kill. Their spikes are both weapon and armor, sharp enough to pierce armor and sturdy enough to ward off desperate counterattacks. Under the dark commands of more powerful demons, Spiked Fiends have been unleashed onto battlefields as terrifying shock troops, but even in such servitude, they hunt with the same vicious glee, driven by an insatiable desire for agony and blood. To cross paths with a pack of Spiked Fiends is to be marked for a prolonged death that they savor as much as any meal.
